Ideas: Work

Of course not. So why would you go without gloves? Stanley's vinyl-coated winter work gloves will protect your hands not only from the cold, but also from any hot liquids you use or shocks from ungrounded heating devices.

Tip: If you're thawing a pipe with a heat lamp, hair dryer, iron, or propane torch, work from an open faucet towards the frozen area. This will prevent steam from being trapped by the ice and bursting the pipe. And, with the faucet open, you can see when the ice has melted. Please wear gloves -- especially if you're using an ungrounded applicance outdoors or near water pipes.
